During our PAPER+WATER+PIGMENT workshops held by Silvia Molinari, the importance of a serious approach to different drawing techniques has aroused.
A basic knowledge as a guarantee of good results when working with colours.
Learning to choose the exact kind of paper for each drawing technique. The art of shading and hatching. Working with graphite and sanguine. Creating the basis for future developments and ideas.

These ideas have been the starting point of a programme of three meetings:

TOWARDS COLOUR 1

27th-28th September, 2008
Drawing from life and pictorial construction techniques. The use of different kinds of pencils, sanguine and white lead.

TOWARDS COLOUR 2

24th-25th January 2009
Part A
Drawing from life and shading techniques. The composition in the space.
The work produced in this first part will be completed in the second part.

21st-22nd February 2009
Part B
Monochrome and bicoloured watercolour. Experimenting different techniques to create painting backgrounds.

LOCATION
The workshop will find place in the seat of Professione Libro
Via Angelo Del Bon, 1 - 20158 MILAN (I)

TIMETABLE
All the meetings:
Saturday: 10h am - 1h pm, 2h30 - 5h30 pm
Sunday: 10h am - 1h pm
Tuition will be in Italian, but we can assist students in English and French if required.

REGISTRATION FEES, including sketching and watercolour papers:
First workshop: 120 EUR
Second workshop, two meetings (part A and B): 240 EUR
Reduced fee in case of enrolling to the whole cycle (TOWARDS COLOUR 1&2): 330 EUR

CLOSING DATE FOR ENROLMENT AND PAYMENT OF THE FEE
Only for the First workshop: 20th September, 2008.
In case of cancellation after this date, the workshop fee will not be refunded.
In case of enrolling to the whole cycle, this fee will be registered as part payment; the balance must be paid by 17th January, 2009
Only for the second workshop (part A and B): 17th January, 2009
In case of cancellation after this date, the workshop fee will not be refunded.

The places available are limited. We cannot guarantee places requested at the last moment.
Payment order will determine the enrolment order.
After the completion of the enrolment, participants will get the tools list.
