To attend these workshops a basic knowledge in bookbinding and restoration is requested.
Participants may bring their own work and will receive help for solving bookbinding and restoration problems. They will also get individual technical advise for materials, instruments and techniques.

RESTORATION: Special care for books and non-intrusive technical solutions constitute the philosophy of these courses.
BOOKBINDING: The teacher will help each participant in the choice of traditional or innovative solutions for every binding.

When facing very complex and difficult individual problems it will be possible to ask for extra tuition to be arranged privately or for small groups.

LOCATION
The course will take place to the seat of the Association, Via Angelo Del Bon 1, Milan (Bovisa).

TIME TABLE
Three encounters are planned, always on Wednesday, from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm
It will be possible to remain in the workshop at lunchtime, but no tuition is granted until the afternoon session starts.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
The participation fee for the whole cycle (18h) is 216 EUR.
If there are places available, it is possible to enrol with "part time" modality (9h), choosing the morning or the afternoon session. In this case the fee is 108 EUR.

Membership to the Association is requested (25 EUR).
The closing date for the enrolment and payment of the fee will be 31st March, 2009.
There is a limited number of places. We cannot guarantee places requested at the last moment.

The fee includes the costs of materials (paper, cardboard, glue, cloth); particular materials like leather, vellum, wood are excluded.
Each participant has to bring his/her own tools and the books to repair/rebind, in addition to special materials needful to their project.
