This course is direct
to starters approaching
bookbinding for the first time
as well as who would like
to deepen his/her knowledge
in this field.

Diffferent models of bindings
will be developed, both
traditional and contemporary,
starting gathering a few
sections and ending
binding rank volumes:
we will analyse different kinds
of sewings, practicing with
the sewing frame,
both on chords and tapes,
long stitch, sewing without
supports, mounting of the
covers and lining.

We will work as well
on real books brought by
the participants, and will
exercise our creativity
in graphic design to make
layouts and, with collages
and drawings, match
texts and imagines,
personalising our books.
