Postcards, images, souvenirs, travelling journals. Objects we collected while walking on the sand, sights perceived suddenly through the Mediterranean maquis and the old butter-bushes, or sea storms seen from the wharf, from rocks with luminescent granitic fragments and velvety lichens.
These are the subjects for our future appointment with watercolour: the sea, its forms, its objects. Places of memory, visited spots or perhaps not yet visited.
Working in a studio and not in direct contact with the subject, we will work with objects or with photography and images that will be the starting point for our "seaside promenade".
We will use traditional watercolour paper in pure cotton and will learn to choose the brushes and to measure and calibrate colour and water.
In the workshop you will find subjects and images to study and reproduce but you are welcome to bring your own objects and souvenirs for inspiration.
