WildFlowers

Watercolour is a painting technique that uses
simple ingredients and simple gestures.
It is the choice to
represent by "clearing" instead of "summing",
with maximum regard to what we see.

Paper, water, colour. Nothing more. We can
bring them along everywhere at all times
and we can stop wherever pleases us to observe
and to paint.

Watercolour does not
need any special ritual;
its preparation consists
in being ready to capture,
to remember: the eye selecting an image, a fragment, a moment.

Few things are as close
to watercolour as wild
flowers as they share
the same essential refinement.

Discreet and graceful the natural inflorescences
can be found in hostile surroundings, opposing their spontaneous presence to any spoiled scenery... the presence
of nature itself.
They need just some sunlight and sporadic
rain but we will need sensibility and spirit of observation to capture
their beauty.

This workshop on wild flowers' watercolours is both for beginners and
for more experienced participants.
