Before attempting to paint any green landscape, flower or little animal I made watercolours with leaves.

My very first one, I remember, was a gigantic amaranth leaf, half eaten by insects, with colour shades going from moss green to ochre, dark bluish green, alizarin red, burnt sienna... I kept that leaf for weeks on end on my desk and copied it in all its shade transformations and form decay: crumpled and looking like leather both in colour and texture.

In this workshop you will be guided to the disclosure of leaves poetics through watercolour technique, that reflects their inner nature.

Autumn leaves fresh or crumpled, you will learn to draw and paint them from still life, to enhance their veins, their imperfections, to prepare the right colours and to create relief through shades and transparencies.

As always you will use pure cotton paper and will learn to choose the brushes and to measure and calibrate colour and water. That is to say, you will learn to use watercolour.

TIMETABLE
Saturday and Sunday 10am - 1pm and 2.30pm - 5.30pm

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
Registration must be made before the closing date.
The participation fee is 165 euro. Watercolour paper will be provided. All participants should bring their own brushes and watercolours, and a rag to clean the brushes.

Joining the association is necessary: membership 25 euro.

There is limited availability so you are invited to book early.
Closing date for enrolment and payment of the fee: 3 November, 2018.
However, the final registration order being determined by the payment order, it is necessary to pay at the time of registration, so that the place is guaranteed.

CANCELLATION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Enrolment must be cancelled in writing.
If the cancellation letter is posted two weeks or more before the workshop begins, the participation fee will be refunded minus a 15% cancellation charge.
If the cancellation letter is posted less than two weeks but before the closing date of enrollments, then the participation fee will be refunded minus a 50% cancellation charge.
No refund will be given in case of cancellation after the closing date. Yet, if a person on the waiting list could take over, the fee will be refunded in full (to the exclusion of any membership fee paid contextually, covering the administration costs).
No refund will be given if, once registered and without further communication, the student doesn't partecipate.
In case the minimum number of participants should not be reached, the course will be cancelled and the whole fee refunded.
The confirmation of the feasibility of the workshop will be announced to the participants after the closing of entries, or when the minimum number of enrolments will be reached.
