We can define embossing - gaufrage or embossing - the third dimension of the sign on the paper.
In our workshop we will learn to use this technique to achieve the three-dimensionality, and thus give the paper tactile, sensory characteristics and allow the light to become a dynamic actor in composition.
The play is engraving embossed images or signs on paper with the use of a few simple tools.
The engraved stamps of some documents, the Braille alphabet, even the credit card name: these are also a goffrage.
We will use it creatively to create different graphic and calligraphic compositions or participations and greeting cards, works of every kind that you can look with your fingers and eyes.
Level: for everyone. It requires a minimum of manual skills.
LOCATION
The course will take place at Professione Libro, Via A. Del Bon, 1 - 20158 MILAN - I
TIME
Saturday and Sunday 9.30 am - 6 pm (1h lunch break, coffee break).
It will be possible to eat all together in a bar close to the workshop.
Tuition will be in Italian, but the teacher can assist students in English and French if required.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
Registration must be made before the closing date.
The participation fee is 225 euro, including coffee breaks, costs of materials and the use of tools, provided by the organizers.
Joining the association is necessary: membership 25 euro.
There is limited availability so you are invited to book early.
Payment dates will determine booking priorities.

CANCELLATION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Enrolment must be cancelled in writing.
If the cancellation letter is posted four weeks or more before the workshop begins, the participation fee will be refunded minus a 15% cancellation charge.
If the cancellation letter is posted less than four but more than two weeks before the course begins, then the participation fee will be refunded minus a 50% cancellation charge.
No refund will be given in case of cancellation after less than two weeks before the course begins. Yet, if a person on the waiting list could take over, the fee will be refunded in full (to the exclusion of any membership fee paid contextually, covering the administration costs).
No refund will be given if, once registered and without further communication, the student doesn't partecipate.
In case the minimum number of participants should not be reached, the course will be cancelled and the whole fee refunded.
The confirmation of the feasibility of the workshop will be announced to the participants after the closing of entries, or when the minimum number of enrolments will be reached.
