Through a collaboration of A14 / Daniela Lorenzi and Professione libro / Cristina Balbiano d'Aramengo a
series of workshops whose purpose is to propose the bookbinding and the original printing techniques
Art as graphic design tools.

Intentionality / technique / form / content / poetry are all elements that contribute to the construction and realization of a book or one folder. 
Deepening in the world of limited edition art books and small publishing, which is inspired by performances by artists, graphic designers and some special bookbinding experiences.
 
GEOGRAPHIES / MAPS / TERRITORIES The map imagery will be the theme thread of the course.

LOCATION
The course will take place at A14 seat - Via Tantardini 7, MILANO - I

TIMETABLE AND CALENDAR
10 weekly encounters are planned, always on Thursday, from 7 to 10 pm.
The planned dates are as follows:
19, 26 October - 9, 16, 23, 30 November - 14 December - 11, 18, 25 January

REGISTRATION
The registration fee for the full cycle of 10 encounters (30h) is 550 EUR.
Participants will receive a list of required individual tools to bring along.

Materials available at the atelier: base material for making matrices, 100% cotton cuts of different quality and weights (Hahnemühle, Zerkall, Graphia, Arches, Fabriano); Calcograph inks (printing) and papers, cardstocks, cotton threads and linen (bookbinding).
Materials for Participants: Based on personal projects, different size matrices (metal, MDF, acrylic, linoleum) and possibly different size paper will be calculated for participants.
