The Flag Book is a model created by Hedi Kyle, one of the leading international exponents of the world of artist's books.
 
It is a binding with a very spectacular rendering, apparently complex but simple to make, composed of a concertina structure on which several pages are mounted, that shift in synchrony when the book is opened, creating an effect of movement and emphasizing the relationship between the parties, be they texts or images.
 
It is an excellent container / display for graphic materials and offers many creative possibilities as regards both the measures and proportions of the structure, and the type of graphic material chosen to make the pages (photography, calligraphy, typography or simply cards of different colors...).
 
During the day various variations will be analyzed, and various tricks will be shown to simplify and make precise the assembly of the materials between them.
 
the workshop is open to all, it does not require specific skills.

LOCATION
The course will find place at Legatoria Moderna - Palazzo Brazzà, via Antonio Zanon, 16/a, 33100 Udine - IT

TIMETABLE
9,30 am - 6 pm (about 1h lunch break)

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
Registration must be made before the closing date.
Participation fee: 115 euro, including costs of materials and the use of tools provided by the organizers.
Early bird offer (enrollment by 17 September): 100 euro.

Membership to the Association for 2022 is requested (30 euro).

There is limited availability so you are invited to book early. Payment dates will determine booking priorities.
Closing date for enrolment and payment of the fee: 12 October 2022.
However, the final registration order being determined by the payment order, it is necessary to pay at the time of registration, so that the place is guaranteed.

CANCELLATION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Enrolment must be cancelled in writing.
If the cancellation letter is posted three weeks or more before the workshop begins, the participation fee will be refunded minus a 15% cancellation charge.
If the cancellation letter is posted less than three weeks but before the closing date of enrollments, then the participation fee will be refunded minus a 50% cancellation charge.
No refund will be given in case of cancellation after the closing date or if, once registered and without further communication, the student doesn't partecipate.
In case the minimum number of participants should not be reached, the course will be cancelled and the whole fee refunded.
