Tomas Robefelt

Tomas trained as a designer in Borås and Gothenburg in Sweden, which resulted in a bachelor's degree in textiles and a master's degree in product design. After the education, however, Tomas has mainly worked with art, crafts and handicrafts.
He works with colour and materiality, with function and context, visions and messages.
In recent years, Tomas has increasingly focused on art and craft, with paper and cardboard as a basis; collage, making paper, folding paper, patterning paper, zhen xian bao and building boxes.

During these years, he has taken a number of different courses in papermaking, marbling and box building in Sweden, Italy and the Netherlands. At a shibori symposium in China in 2014, Tomas learned the basics of folding Chinese thread book, zhen xian bao, and has since deepened his knowledge and further developed these cases.

Tomas also works pedagogically in textiles, art and crafts, and for example holds courses in folding zhen xian bao, paper crafts, shibori and colour and light theory.
Tomas has also worked in parallel as a supervisor in various activities for people with various disabilities and there created activities and workshops for working with paper and textiles.
