Alicia Baladan

Alicia Baladan was born in Uruguay where she spent her childhood.
After a short time in Rio de Janeiro she moved to Italy, where she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan.

She participated in several international film-festival of animation and experimental image curated by the archive of contemporary art "Care-off" of Milan.

In the last few years she has focused on the drawing and writing, developing the narrative aspect of her work.
In 2011 she got a mention among the finalists in the international competition, "Best South-American Illustraton Artist 2010," UP, Universidad de Palermo, Buenos Aires, with the drawings taken from the book “A Guaranì tale”.

Her drawings from the book “An infant Sky” were also selected for “Illustrarte 2011” in Portugal.

She currently lives and works in Brescia, Italy.
