Nowadays photography is no longer the exceptional event that permitted people to remember a face or a special moment of their lives. Images have become disposable and they are very seldom printed or improved, unless by professional photographers.
We will deal with different subjects, paying attention to the cropping of the images and the order in which to keep them. We do not want to keep our photos in a traditional album but to adapt a book structure that suits the images that will be in it: we will create a true FOTObook.

In these two week-end workshops, with two months in between, all sorts of images will be considered. You can experiment with various ideas of layout and make different kinds of FOTObooks to keep your photos.
There will be matching, cutting, collage and superimposition exercises and we will work both with black and white and colour.
We will also focus our attention to the problems which arise when photographing bindings, as we believe that images of books are often very poor and lacking in understanding.

Both the workshops: Saturday and Sunday 10.00 am - 1.00 pm and 2.00 - 6.00 pm

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
To join it is indispensable to formalize the enrolment by the expected deadline.
The participation fee is 400 EUR, and includes the costs of materials and the use of tools provided by the organizers.
Membership to the Association is requested (25 EUR).

The places available are limited: we cannot guarantee places requested at the last moment. Payment order will determine the enrolment order.
Closing date for enrolment and payment of the fee: 22nd December, 2010.

CANCELLATION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Enrolment must be cancelled in writing. If the cancellation letter is posted four weeks or more before the workshop begins, the participation fee will be refunded minus a 15% cancellation charge.
If the cancellation letter is posted less than four weeks but more than two weeks before the workshop begins, then the participation fee will be refunded minus a 50% cancellation charge.
If the cancellation letter is posted less than two weeks before the workshop begins, then the participation fee will not be refunded.
No refund will be given if students enrol but, without further notification, do not participate at the course.
