unusual booklets, envelopes, pamphlets, cases, folders and so forth, based just on folding,
cutting and sometimes sewing, without any glue. With new models of Cor Aerssens, Hedi Kyle, Carmencho Arregui, Cristina Balbiano, and more…
Like in the first workshop again a series of different materials, techniques and expedients will give you a gust of fresh air to change your point of view in bookbinding.
The themes explored are suited to anyone interested in paper and book arts as well as anyone who might be looking for new ways to present ideas and projects.
We welcome participants from all related professional fields, such as graphic designers,
artists, bookbinders, calligraphers, architects and more. No special skills are required to successfully follow the workshop.
In order to create a high learning environment, materials will be pre-cut for all participants.
For who is intended to stay in Leksand also the following week, some of the paper book structures will be perfect to be gold tooled during Tracey Rowledge’s class “Gold tooling on
paper bindings”.
